 American Literature

Monday:

  • Reading Quiz, Chapters 9-12
  • Answer two study guide questions in your small groups (10 pts)
  • HW: Read Chapters 13 & 14

Tuesday:

  • Discuss Reading Strategies
  • Go over study guide answers for 13 & 14
  • HW: CATCH UP WITH THE READING/STUDY GUIDES IF YOU ARE BEHIND

Wednesday:

  • Reading Day: Read Chapters 15 & 16 and fill out the study guide.
  • HW: Finish 15 & 16 if you did not finish in class.

Thursday

  • Announcement: The test will be on 10/17. The paper will be due on 10/27.
  • Group work — Answer the study guide questions using C+E+A (and cite pages!).
  • HW: Read 17 & 18

Friday

  • Reading Quiz: Chapters 17 & 18
  • Pronouns (Download the Packet) Pre-test
  • HW: Read 19 & 20

Honors 11

Monday:

  • Comma Practice (#2)
  • Group Work: Using C+E+A (and MLA citation), complete your latest study guide as a group.
  • HW: Read Chapters 13 & 14

Tuesday:

  • Comma Practice
  • Group Work: Using C+E+A (and MLA citation), answer an assigned study guide question, then share with the class.
  • HW: Catch up on the readings/study guides if you need to do so.

Wednesday:

  • Reading Day: Read chapters 15 & 16 and do the study guide. Use C+E+A (and cite).
  • HW: Finish up 15 & 16.

Thursday

  • Proofreading Practice #2
  • HW: Read 17 & 18

Friday

  • Proofreading Practice #3
  • Group Activity: Fill in evidence and analysis for a mini-essay about each chapter
  • HW: Read 19 & 20
